Welcome to The Noterie!

Hey Guys! My name is Chelsea + this is The Noterie - a collection of notes about my family adventures + the lessons I learn along the way. Thanks for stopping by!

Note: Four Month Update

Jack is FOUR MONTHS OLD (insert confetti emoji here)! This has by far been the most fun month of parenting by far. Even though I do miss the newborn cuddles, watching his personality shine is seriously the funnest.

Jack LOVES:

His Jumparoo! He jumps constantly whether he is happy, sad, mad, etc. He loves to explore and is super into reaching for everything...including whatever you are holding. He thinks our water dispenser on the refrigerator is like the best thing ever invented. Jack used to be a homebody, but this month he would much rather be out and about and socialize. He's also started noticing other babies this month and so he loves going anywhere where he can observe other kids playing. He also loves being carried in the Wildbird or the Ergo, walks in his stroller, the song "Hakuna Matata" and riding the carousel at the mall.

Jack HATES:

His dislikes are pretty much the same and can be summed up with the carseat and napping. Hates them! He has gotten better at both, but if it were up to him these two things wouldn't exist.

MILESTONES WE'VE HIT:

We slept through the night three times, but we aren't consistent. We're still learning how to do that. We ditched the swaddle (HURRAH!) We are working reallll hard on sitting up. We can hold ourselves up standing (but only for a very short time) and we respond to our name.

This has been such a fun month! Jack really loves being out and about now, so it's been really fun to get out more and watch how he reacts to seeing different people or things for the first time. I have every Friday off with him and I've tried to start doing new activities each week, but it's getting hard to do since it's already 90+ degrees in Alabama! Jack smiles NONSTOP - he is so happy and it's just the best thing ever! He loves to laugh and if you laugh, he is going to laugh harder. He loves people so much and has very rarely met a stranger he didn't like. Being his mom is the greatest adventure. I love it so much and am so happy to call this little boy mine.

We love you, Jack!
