Note: Baby's Day Out
On Saturday we celebrated Jack's TWELVE WEEK BIRTHDAY! Yep, today is the day I head back to work from my glorious maternity leave + I seriously CANNOT believe it's already been that long. Usually, Saturday mornings are reserved for date days so me + Cody can catch up, but we wanted to try to do a family date since it's my last weekend work-free (at my job, Sundays are the busiest day of the week).
Our local farmers market, Pepper Place, just opened two weeks ago for the summer season + we are obsessed. Not only do they have delicious local meat + produce we can pick up to eat throughout the week, but they have the best speciality foods like Hero Donuts + Piper and Leaf Tea. We're a huge fan of wandering up + down the rows, checking out arts + crafts, sampling strawberries + leaving with our bags filled of deliciousness for the week ahead.
Jack slept through most of Pepper Place so afterwards we went to Railroad Park so he could have play time + we could get some fun 12 week photos for his birthday. The sun wasn't out yet so it honestly felt amazing. We played on the lawn for a while + when he was ready to nap, I put on my Solly that I constantly rave about so Jack could rest while we finished the date. Jack loooooves the Solly and fell asleep pretty much instantly. We did a lap around the park + then walked a few blocks over to The Pizitz Food Hall that just opened up to grab some lunch.
I'm literally obsessed with this new sushi-like concept they have there called Ono Poke. It's basically the best thing I have ever eaten + I need it in my life every single day.
Anyways, that was the longest outing we have taken so far and we were all absolutely exhausted when we got home. The rest of our day looked like pajamas, naps + eating the rest of our Hero Donuts...sorry, I'm not sorry.
By the way, I'm hosting a Solly Baby Giveaway on my Instagram today! Head to my profile to enter to win the best thing since sliced bread (if you're a Mama + need a break every now + then). Happy Monday!
