Happy ONE MONTH birthday, Jack! I literally can't believe that it's been four whole weeks of being your Mama. Already, you have changed so much. You are bigger, stronger, more aware. You love to stare + look at the light.

Shockingly, your favorite place to hang out is your changing table. We think it's because you like to look at the bright giraffe right above you. Your'e most aware first thing in the morning, most sleepy in the afternoon, and most annoyed in the evening. But you love to hear Dad play guitar + love when Mom sings Chris Brown so that's become our new nightly ritual. You're attempting to figure out if you love the bath, or deeply loathe it. It's hit or miss. Your favorite place to sleep is in Mom + Dad's arms, and we don't mind it one bit because we know that before we can bat an eye, you'll be too big to fit in them.

Mom and Dad are finally starting to feel like we're not completely + utterly clueless. We've learned how to nurse, how to help you sleep + how to survive on coffee. We're learning your cries + what they mean. We've learned that basically, you are perfect, and that you have made our lives better, richer and much more fun forever and forever. Dad loves getting ready with you in the mornings, because you love to watch him shave. Mom loves to kiss you all over + sing with you when she makes her morning coffee.

One month with you has been the best month of our lives so far. We love watching you grow, but forgive us if we tear up a little too because you're just growing too fast and we're having a hard time absorbing it all. Happy Birthday, little boy! We can't wait to see all that you discover next month.
