We just got done celebrating Jack's first Thanksgiving. I seriously cannot believe it! It really feels like yesterday I was celebrating Thanksgiving in my maternity jeans eager to finally hold Jack in my arms. It's super fun being on the other side. One of my favorite things of Motherhood so far has been introducing Jack to new family traditions - including all the holidays.

This year we spent Thanksgiving with my in-laws at their farm in Georgia. One day, this will be heaven to Jack. I can't imagine a better place for a little boy than wide open spaces, animals + all the tractors in the world. And it was seriously so much fun introducing him to all of it, and also so gorgeous! My inlaws farm is so peaceful + they have animals like cows, chickens, donkeys + a zonkey to keep it super fun too! Jack's favorite part about going to the local Zoo is the Petting Zoo - he loves getting close to the animals so he absolutely loved petting + reaching for the animals at John + Patty's. We had an amazing few days hanging out at the farm, going into town + letting Jack explore.

Every year I am grateful. But this year, I'm really, really full of thanksgiving. I'm thankful for my husband who has been the biggest supporter, my best friend, the best Dad to Jack + my lifeline as our lives have drastically changed as parents over the past year. I'm thankful that God gave me the sweetest blessing of being a mama to Jack. I'm thankful for Jack. I'm thankful for how he challenges me + stretches me + has taught me so very much in 9 short months. I'm thankful for the basic things - that he is healthy and growing and happy - but I am also thankful for the things I'm learning about him. I love that he loves people + already brings others joy. I'm thankful that he has a tender heart + loves to comfort others when he knows they need it most. I'm thankful he has a zest for life + adventure that cannot be matched + is pulling me out of my normal + out of my comfort zone every single day. I'm thankful for family. Family that loves us and supports us and cheers us on. I'm thankful for friendships + I'm thankful for home.

I hope you had an amazing day resting and eating and enjoying those you love!
